Benchmarking Energy Usage

In September 2013, the Chicago City Council passed an ordinance requiring large residential buildings to start “benchmarking” (or tracking) energy usage, and report it to the city.

The years 2014 and 2015 were years in which buildings must begin compliance. View or download the helpful PDFs below in order to better navigate the benchmarking process.
